Best Colorado Motorcycle Safety Courses
When riding a motorcycle, safety should always be your top priority. Due to the lack of protection afforded by these vehicles, injuries are often catastrophic during a motorcycle accident. The best way to stay safe when riding is to have the proper training.
Whether you are a new or experienced rider, there is a benefit in completing a motorcycle safety course. For new riders, this is a critical component to your training, and it will ensure you have the knowledge necessary to operate your motorcycle safely. It’s also a requirement for receiving the endorsement to earn a Colorado motorcycle license. For experienced riders, it provides an opportunity to refine your riding skills and refresh your knowledge of safety best practices.
MOST Courses
Colorado established the Motorcycle Operator Safety Training (MOST) program in 1991. This program is run by the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), and it provides courses promoting motorcycle safety. By taking a MOST course, you can develop the knowledge, skills, habits and attitudes necessary to ride a motorcycle safely.
As the official Colorado motorcycle safety course endorsed by the CSP, MOST courses are the standard for motorcycle safety courses in Colorado. They also provide the best option for getting your motorcycle endorsement. Riders who pass a MOST course can take their completion certificate to any state driver’s license office and receive their motorcycle endorsement. No additional testing will be required.
Taking a MOST course offers the following benefits:
- Easiest way to receive your motorcycle endorsement
- Trains you to ride safely through any terrain or obstacles you’ll encounter on Colorado roadways
- Ensures you receive high quality motorcycle training
- Makes you eligible for valuable discounts at local retailers and insurance companies
